Thrilling second win for Peter Hardman in the Goodwood Revival RAC TT Celebration
September 2010
: Peter Hardman achieved his second win in the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy Celebration last weekend at the Goodwood Revival. It was his first victory in Sir Anthony Bamford's 1964 "low drag" Ferrari 250 GTO, which he piloted with fellow Goodwood veteran Jean-Marc Gounon.

Peter Hardman denied second RAC TT at Goodwood Revival

: Star Goodwood Revival competitor Peter Hardman was denied back-to-back wins in the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy this weekend when the 1964 “Low drag” Ferrari 250 GTO he was driving retired with just laps to go. Having taken over from co-driver Jean-Marc Gounon 38 minutes into the race, Hardman took the lead at the start of his second lap and was building a good gap when the car suffered an electrical failure and Peter rolled into the pit lane with a dead engine.

Strakka secures gritty finish on impressive Le Mans debut
June 16, 2009 : Strakka Racing went the distance in an impressive debut run in the Le Mans 24 Hours last weekend, covering a total of 4430 kilometres from start to finish after Nick Leventis took the chequered flag in 21st place, 14th in LMP1. Co-driven by Peter Hardman and Danny Watts, the team’s Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S had been one of the fastest petrol-powered cars in the race, and battled hard amongst the front-runners for several hours before three minor mechanical problems put them on the back foot. Despite this, they rallied repeatedly, and the team exhibited great professionalism, determination and spirit as they fought to keep the car in with a chance.

June 12, 2009 : Making their debut at Le Mans, Strakka Racing was delighted to emerge as the top independent team in qualifying for the 77th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours. Fourth-fastest of the petrol-powered LMP1 prototypes, Strakka’s Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S set a best of 3:29.798 in the hands of Danny Watts, while co-drivers Peter Hardman and Nick Leventis each demonstrated strong race-pace and consistent support.

Strakka Racing Ready for La Sarthe
June 2, 2009 : Strakka Racing completed a final shakedown test of the team's Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S LMP1 prototype at Snetterton today (Monday 1st June) ahead of departure for France and this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. Strakka Racing Chasing from the Tail
May 11, 2009 : Strakka Racing’s three drivers, Peter Hardman, Nick Leventis and Danny Watts, spent much of yesterday’s Spa 1000 Kilometres playing catch-up after having to start the race from the pitlane. April 4, 2009 : It took Danny Watts just one flying lap to set the new Strakka Racing Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S on pole for tomorrow’s opening round of the 2009 Le Mans Series, locking out both the new Lola Aston Martins, a pair of Audi R10s and the latest chassis from Pescarolo Sport. Strakka’s performance also represented the first time that a petrol-engined car has out-qualified the diesels in over two years of Le Mans Series competition.

Strakka Racing Aiming for the Top
Jan 19, 2009 : Silverstone-based Strakka Racing has confirmed an agreement with Ginetta-Zytek that will see the team competing in the Le Mans Series this season with a Ginetta-Zytek GZ09S LMP1 chassis. The deal came about following a very successful track test in Spain towards the end of November, and means that Strakka’s regular driver pairing of Peter Hardman and Nick Leventis will be moving up into the top level of sportscar and endurance racing.
